Joe Bruce
VP of Innovation and Gathering
Since the age of 15, I’ve worked to become a leader in Nevada. My plan began in the summer of 2015, attending 16 micro-internships at top educational institutions, government agencies and nonprofits and meetings with key state leaders. The Governor’s Office was so impressed with my prodigious knowledge of Nevada, I was offered a legislative internship involving energy and workforce development. At the age of 16, based primarily on my work at the Governor’s Office, I became the first intern at Tesla under the age of 18. At Tesla I helped design key workforce development and STEM education programs over two summers, so the Governor appointed me to the Nevada Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Board. Based on my extraordinary work experience by the age of 17, Dr. Nazir Ansari accepted my request to study with him weekly using The Economist as a learning platform. Finally, having helped design a 501(c)3 organization and served the public multiple ways, I was asked to speak at the Nevada Museum of Art on the future of philanthropy. I am the VP of Innovation and Gathering at Good Deed Hunting. My responsibilities include website design, donor opportunities and leadership engagement.
